PURE WAVETABLE SYNTHESIS · IN THE BROWSER · IN YOUR DAW

FABLESYNTH

Four instruments on one wavetable engine: WT-1 synth, DR-1 drums, BL-1 acid bass and SQ-4, the session that plays them all. In your browser and in your DAW.

That was all real. Now play it yourself.

SQ-4 · SESSION LAUNCHER

The whole track.
One page.

PHASE RUNNER, live: queue SECOND WIND from the breakdown and it lands on the downbeat.

SQ-4 is a session launcher in the spirit of a hardware groovebox: four tracks — DR-1 drums, BL-1 acid bass and two WT-1 synths on lead and pads — crossed with six scenes of real, playable clips. Tap a clip and it launches on the next bar; scenes layer freely, and the newest launch wins each track.

Nothing in it is a recording. Every clip drives a real instrument on one shared audio graph, all four engines locked to a single sample-accurate clock — launches land exactly on the downbeat and nothing ever drifts. Click a track name and the full device opens in place, live, while the session keeps playing.

Paint the move

Every SQ-4 clip carries its own automation lanes. Draw a curve over the clip and the knob follows it on every loop. Pick any parameter of the track's instrument, or hit LEARN and touch the knob you want.

THE INSTRUMENTS

Three instruments.
One engine.

The tracks of SQ-4 are full instruments in their own right, each built on the same band-limited wavetable engine — the same morphing oscillators, the same filters, the same clean top end. Learn one and you already know the other two; play each on its own page, or all of them at once in the session.

THE SHARED ENGINE

One core.
Every instrument.

This is the engine inside all of it, shown here at full stretch in WT-1. What follows is what DR-1 pads, the BL-1 voice and every SQ-4 track are made of too.

Wavetables you can watch move

Sweep through a table of evolving timbres and hear the tone morph under your fingers. The 3D view shows exactly where you are in the table, so shaping a sound is something you see as well as hear.

Bring your own wavetables

Import any audio file and FableSynth slices it into frames and finds the pitch for you, or draw a single cycle by hand. Either way it's band-limited exactly like the factory tables, so your own waveforms stay clean and never alias — in the browser, in the plugin, and on a DR-1 pad.

The wavetable editor: a library of tables on the left, a large canvas with Draw and Import Audio tabs, a frame strip, and seed buttons for sine, saw, square and triangle waveforms.

A dual filter with teeth

Two filters you can stack or split across the oscillators, from clean lowpass sweeps to a talking vowel filter and a tuned comb for metallic tones. Push the drive for grit and warmth that stays musical instead of turning to fizz.

Modulate anything

Drag an envelope or LFO straight onto a knob and a colored ring shows the depth — route movement onto the wavetable, the filter, pitch, pan or levels. Make a sound breathe, wobble or evolve across a whole phrase.

Then finish it

A built-in FX rack finishes the patch: drive for warmth, lush chorus, ping-pong delay and reverb for space, and a limiter to keep it loud and clean. Done without leaving the synth.

Echoes that spiral

The new LAB row adds five experimental effects to WT-1. SHIFT moves every echo up or down in frequency, so the repeats spiral away from the note. Turn SPIRAL up and they keep climbing.

Break it in time

GLITCH catches slices of the beat and repeats them in time with the tempo. Raise the chance, roll at 1/32, then let DRIFT bend the pitch of the repeats like tape. CRUSH, RESO and SPRAY wait next to it.

A high note played on FableSynth, clean and even with no digital grit or noise underneath it.
A high note, clean down to the noise floor (−92 dB).

CLEAN AT EVERY PITCH

Bright up top.
Never brittle.

Plenty of synths turn harsh and grainy on high notes or fast slides. The FableSynth engine stays smooth and clear all the way up — so WT-1 leads cut through, DR-1 hats stay crisp and BL-1 slides never fizz. Play anywhere on the keyboard and trust what you hear.

WT-1 · THE FLAGSHIP

Play it in a tab.
Track it in your DAW.

Every FableSynth device pairs a web UI with a native plugin — here it's the flagship synth. Sketch a patch in your browser, or right inside an SQ-4 session, then open the plugin in your DAW and pick up where you left off. Same controls, same presets, the exact same sound. It's one instrument, not a demo and a separate "real" version.

DR-1 · DRUM MACHINE

Same engine.
Now it hits.

Click a step and it plays from the next loop. Kick, hats, clap, done.

DR-1 puts the WT-1 wavetable engine behind sixteen drum pads. Every kick, snare and hat is synthesized live from morphing wavetables — there isn't a single sample in it — so any sound can be retuned, reshaped or mangled as deep as you like. Drop a WAV on a pad and it becomes a wavetable too.

Sketch grooves in the 16-step sequencer with accents and swing, chain patterns into longer phrases, and keep hats tight with choke groups. Kits save in your browser, and it plays from your computer keyboard or a MIDI pad controller.

BL-1 · ACID BASSLINE

Same engine.
Now it squelches.

Cutoff from 70 Hz to 12 kHz, then resonance. One knob, the whole squelch.

BL-1 takes the same wavetable engine and strips it down to a single mono voice built for acid. Program a bassline in the 16-step pitch sequencer, mark steps with accents and slides, and ride the resonant filter while the pattern runs — the classic 303 workflow, powered by morphing wavetables instead of a fixed saw and square.

Because the oscillator is a wavetable, the tone goes places a classic bassline box can't: sweep the table mid-pattern with the bar-locked LFO and the groove moves in time with your song. Patches save in your browser, and it plays from your computer keyboard or a MIDI controller.
